ABSTRACT:
The disclosure describes a photographic element comprising a light sensitive silver halide emulsion layer having associated therewith a magenta dye forming coupler containing an azole nucleus and a ballasted compound having Formula I, ##STR1## wherein each R.sub.1 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and an alkyl, aryl, acyl and acylamino group;
