ABSTRACT:
A linear ball bearing assembly including a bearing block body formed by forging or by precision casting and having a central recess of generally trapezoidal cross-section. Skirts are formed on opposite sides with respect to the central recess and integrally formed retaining side covers made of an oil-impregnated thermosetting material, die cast alloy or oil-impregnated sintered metal, being subject neigher to thrust load nor lifting load (upward load) are inserted into the bearing block body from the opposite sides of the bearing block and fixed thereto, and a race bar is incorporated into the linear bearing.
