ABSTRACT:
[The absorption rate of t-PA in the blood is enhanced by administering it together] A method of enhancing the effect of t-PA in the blood which comprises the steps of administering exogenous t-PA and an amount of t-PA inhibitor dissociating agent effective to increase the dissociation of the inhibitor from the t-PA, the amount of exogenous t-PA being less than that required to be administered in the absence of the inhibitor dissociating agent. The t-PA can be administered outside the blood when administered with an absorption enhancing agent, preferably hydroxylamine or a salt thereof, most preferably hydroxylamine hydrochloride, which constitutes both an enhancing agent and an inhibitor disassociating agent.
