ABSTRACT:
Novel polyarylate polymers comprise alternating moieties derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid halide, from a hydroxyaryl-substituted 1,6-diaza [4.4] spirodilactam and, optionally, from a di(hydroxyphenyl) compound. The polyarylate polymers are thermoplastic polymers characterized by relatively high glass transition temperatures.
