ABSTRACT:
A louver is mounted adjacent a sensor in a housing of a laser scanning head of a system for electro-optically reading bar code symbols. The louver includes a plurality of mutually parallel, permanently-open slots. The slats are inclined to allow more light from far-out symbols to reach the sensor as compared to close-in symbols.
