ABSTRACT:
A resin composition comprising (A) a polycyanoarylether consisting essentially of the repeating unit represented by the following general formula (I) ##STR1## and having a reduced viscosity of at least 0.6 dl/g as measured at 60.degree. C. in p-chlorophenol at a concentration of 0.2 g/dl and (B) a carbonized phenolic resin is suitable for sliding parts of electric and electronic instruments and machines because it exhibits excellent abrasion resistance and reduces the damage to counterparts. The sliding characteristics of the resin composition is further increased by addition of a non-fibrous solid lubricant.
