ABSTRACT:
An oarlock design which permits the rower to face forwardly through the use of a second class lever wherein the oarlocks are restrained to move forwardly and backwardly along arculate side rails so that each oar translates about a vertical pivot point which is spaced across the boat away from the normal oarlock pivot point.
