ABSTRACT:
There is disclosed a method of synthesizing a compound of the formula ##STR1## and novel analogs of the formula ##STR2## where R and R.sub.1 are fully defined. These compounds exhibit beneficial antiviral properties especially as inhibitors of the influenza virus.
