ABSTRACT:
A recording material is described, comprising an electron donating colorless dye and an electron accepting compound, wherein said electron accepting compound is represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of 1 to 5, and R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represents a lower alkyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a hydrogen atom, a cyano group, or a hydrogen atom, provided that when n=1, either of R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 does not represent a hydrogen atom.
