ABSTRACT:
A toner for developing latent electrostatic images comprising particles is disclosed, which is composed of a mixture of a colorant and/or magnetic material, a binder agent and a charge controlling agent of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represent an unsubstituted or substituted aryl group; and X represents an anionic functional group.
