Plastic compositions containing polystyrenes and bis-phenoxy compounds having the formula ##STR1## WHEREIN Z is bromine, m is an integer having a value of 1-5 and m' is an integer having a value of 0-4, i is an integer having a value of 0-2 and i' is an integer having a value of 1-5, alkylene is a straight or branched chain alkylene group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and A is chlorine.
