ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the general formula I ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 and R.sub.5 independently of one another denote hydrogen or lower alkyl, one of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 denotes hydroxyl and the other denotes alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, R.sub.4 denotes hydrogen or, if R.sub.3 denotes hydroxyl, additionally also denotes alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl, X denotes a group ##STR2## wherein R.sub.8 is alkyl, aralkyl or phenyl and R.sub.9 is alkyl, aralkyl, phenyl or the group ##STR3## or R.sub.9 and R.sub.8 together are alkylene, Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 independently of one another denote oxygen or sulphur, p denotes 1 or 2, q denotes 0 or 1, with the proviso that p + q = 2, and R.sub.6, if q is 0, denotes alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or thiaalkyl, in which case Y.sub.1 is linked to a carbon atom in the thiaalkyl radical which does not carry a further hetero-atom, or denotes oxaalkyl, in which case Y.sub.1 is linked to a carbon atom in the oxaalkyl radical which does not carry a further hetero-atom, hydroxycarbonylalkyl, alkoxycarbonylalkyl, cycloalkoxycarbonylalkyl, aralkoxycarbonylalkyl, aryloxycarbonylalkyl or a group ##STR4## wherein m is 2 - 10 and R.sub.10 is alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, thiaalkyl, oxaalkyl or aryl, or R.sub.6, if q is 0, and Y.sub.1 and Y.sub.2 both denote sulphur, can also denote aryl, or R.sub.6, if q is 1, denotes, together with R.sub.7, 1,2-alkylene, 1,3-alkylene, o-arylene or 1,8-naphthylene, are used to stabilize organic material.
