ABSTRACT:
A method of manufacturing a sealed-type nickel-hydrogen cell. The invention reduces the number of cycles of the charge-discharge operation required during the formation process used to manufacture a sealed-type nickel-hydrogen cell having a large high-rate discharge capacity. A sealed-type nickel-hydrogen cell is subjected to at least one cycle of a charge-discharge operation and thereafter maintained at a temperature in the range of about 30.degree. C. to 60.degree. C. for a predetermined length of time.
