ABSTRACT:
A black and white monitoring system apparatus for use in a remote controller having a light receiver, an analog multiplexer, a signal level controller, an analog switching member, A/D converters, latches, parallel/serial converters, a control signal generator, a first oscillator, an OR gate, and a light transmitter disposed in the television set. The remote controller has a remote control signal generator, a control signal light transmitter, a remote control signal separator, a vertical driving circuit, a horizontal driving circuit, a liquid crystal monitor, a control signal generator, and second oscillator. In this system, a broadcast television picture is reproduced on a liquid crystal monitor in black and white so that the television picture can be seen on the remote controller by freely selecting a channel.
