ABSTRACT:
A process for forming amines by contacting, in a liquid media, an olefinic compound, carbon monoxide, water, and ammonia in the presence of a rhodium atom containing compound selected from metallic rhodium, rhodium salts, rhodium oxides, and rhodium carbonyls and ligands thereof at a temperature of from 50.degree. to 250.degree. C. and at a pressure of from about 10 to about 300 atmospheres.
