ABSTRACT:
A fixture (50) is used to precisely locate the horizontal (20, 30) and vertical (10) guideways on the bed (40) of a grinding machine. After the fixture (50) is removed, bolts (80) are tightened to apply a compressive force on the bonding material (70) located between the vertical guideway (10) and the machine tool bed (40).
