ABSTRACT:
An electrophotographic photosensitive member and use thereof, having a photosensitive layer upon or over an electrically conductive substrate, the photosensitive layer comprising an organic photoconductive material selected from the group consisting of the following general formula (1), (2), or (3): ##STR1## wherein A represents a coupler component having aromaticity, ##STR2## wherein, A represents a coupler component having aromaticity, R represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, or alkoxy, and n represents an integer of 1 to 4, ##STR3## wherein, A represents a coupler component having aromaticity and R.sub.1 represents a single bond or a substituted or unsubstituted divalent hydrocarbon or heterocyclic residue.
