ABSTRACT:
A process for manufacturing a colorless polyetheresteramide, which comprises the step of reacting (A) a polyamide-forming compound selected from aminocarboxylic acids and lactams each having at least 10 carbon atoms, (B) a dicarboxylic acid having from 4 to 20 carbon atoms and (D) a polyoxyalkylene glycol having an average molecular weight of from 300 to 6,000, in the molten state, in the presence of 0.0001 to 0.00999 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the above mentioned reactants, of a tetraalkyl titanate having a straight or branched alkyl having 1 to 24 carbon atoms, at a pressure of at the highest 5 mmHg at a temperature of 200.degree. to 300.degree. C.
