ABSTRACT:
A camera system having a camera body and an interchangeable lens which is detachably mountable on the camera body, in which a camera body includes a first motor and driving means arranged to be operated by a power source, the lens body includes a second motor and driving means to drive a diaphragm both to a stop down and to open its aperture. The system is provided with control means arranged to drive the diaphragm to stop down the aperture after the lapse of a given period of time from commencement of the upward movement of the mirror, and to actuate the second motor to cause the diaphragm driving means to drive the diaphragm to open the aperture after the lapse of a given period of time from the end of the downward movement of the mirror, such that the peaks of high voltage use are staggered, lessening the strain on the power source and ensuring reliable operation even at low temperatures.
