ABSTRACT:
A novel class of dithiane and disulfone compound is described. These compounds are pharmaceutically active as coronary dilating agents and thus can be used therapeutically in cases of insufficient cardiac blood supply, i.e., in the treatment of angina pectoris. A preferred compound is N-(3,4-dimethoxyphenethyl)-2-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-N-methyl-m-dithiane-2-p ropylamine-1,1-3,3-tetraoxide.
