A multiactive electrophotographic element comprising an electrically conductive support, a photoconductive pigment containing charge generation layer and a charge transport layer wherein the charge generation layer contains a polyester-ionomer binder having a weight average molecular weight of 2,500 to 75,000 and a glass transition temperature of 20.degree. to 150.degree. C.
