ABSTRACT:
A vinyl polymerizable reaction product useful in preparing pigment grind vehicles having improved grind time, viscosity properties and color properties is disclosed. The reaction product can be prepared by reaction of an ester with isopropenyl-.alpha.,.alpha.-dimethylbenzylisocyanate. The resulting product is a urethane ester which can be homopolymerized or copolymerized with other vinyl monomers. The invention is also directed toward the resulting polymeric grind vehicle and pigment pastes made therewith.
