ABSTRACT:
Photographic elements, diffusion transfer assemblages, coordination complexes and processes are described which employ a novel nondiffusible compound capable of releasing at least one diffusible magenta dye moiety comprising a 4-(2-heterocyclylazo)phenol having a heterocyclic ring fused thereto, the compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein: (a) X represents the atoms necessary to complete a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring;
