A method for controlling molluscs with 2-(2-chloro-1-methoxyethoxy)phenyl methylcarbamate of the formula ##STR1## and molluscicides containing a mixture of 2-(2-chloro-1-methoxyethoxy)phenyl methylcarbamate with methyl benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate is described.
