ABSTRACT:
Topically applicable sunscreen/cosmetic compositions well suited for enhanced photoprotection of human skin and/or hair against the damaging effects of UV-A and UV-B irradiation, particularly solar radiation, comprise a photoprotecting synergistically effective amount of (i) benzene-1,4-di(3-methylidene-10-camphorsulfonic)acid, optionally either partially or totally neutralized, and (ii) 2-ethylhexyl .alpha.-cyano-.beta.,.beta.-diphenylacrylate, in a cosmetically acceptable vehicle, diluent or carrier therefor.
