ABSTRACT:
A printhead assembly includes an ink distribution assembly including an ink distribution molding, the ink distribution molding including a plurality of ducts; at least one printhead integrated circuit in fluid communication with the ink distribution assembly; and a rotary platen having at least three surface, each surface for providing one of a platen surface, capping portion, and a blotting portion. The ink distribution assembly delivers ink via one or more of the plurality of ducts to the at least one printhead integrated circuit, and delivers a gas into a vicinity of a printing surface region of the at least one printhead integrated circuit via at least one of the plurality of ducts. The ink distribution molding includes a plurality of ink inlet ports in fluid communication with an ink cassette via a plurality of ink hoses.
