ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic material containing a compound having a structure represented by formula (I) ##STR1## wherein EAG represents a group capable of accepting an electron from a reducing material; E represents an electron-attracting group; R.sup.3 represents an atomic group necessary for forming a 5-membered to 8-membered single ring or condensed ring by combining with the carbon atom carrying EAG and E; ETG represents an electron-transmitting group; n represents 0 or 1; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, which may be the same or different, each represents a hydrogen atom, a hydrocarbon group, a heterocyclic group, or a single bond for forming a ring with EAG; Time represents a group releasing PUG upon cleavage of the bond between the carbon atom carrying R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 and Time; t represents 0 or 1; and PUG represents a photographically useful group.
