ABSTRACT:
With a reproduction-only disc having a large recording capacity, an interactive function having a higher degree of freedom than the related art can be easily accomplished. A virtual player model corresponding to a function of a player is created and described in Java. BDBasicPlayer210detects a user input and the status change of the player and generates an event. An object211that implements a listener interface registers an event listener corresponding to an event that the object211is caused to receive to BDBasicPlayer210before the event takes place. When the event becomes unnecessary, it is unregistered. BDBasicPlayer210transmits the event to the object211in which the event listener has been registered. The object211executes a method corresponding to the received event. The relationships between events and methods can be flexibly set. Thus, a complicated interactive function can be easily accomplished.
