A pure, crystalline hydrate of (.+-.)endo-4-amino-5-chloro-2-methoxy-N-(1'-azabicyclo[3.3.1]non-4'-yl)-be nzamide hydrochloride, having useful pharmacological activity namely gastric motility enhancing activity, anti-emetic activity and 5-HT M-receptor antagonist activity.
