ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to a process for preparing polyisobutene having a mean molecular weight Mnof from 400 to 50 000, in particular from 500 to 10 000, by polymerizing isobutene in the presence of a BF3-containing complex catalyst, wherein the polymerization is carried out at least temporarily in the presence of one or more cyclic ethers.
