ABSTRACT:
An ID reader53is provided at a fall prevention cover50of an overhead traveling vehicle 20 for reading an ID76on the back surface of an article70. The ID reader53can be protruded from or retracted into the fall prevention cover50. When the article70is elevated/lowered, the ID reader is retracted into the cover50. When the ID76is read, the ID reader53is advanced to a position under the article70.
