ABSTRACT:
A reader emits a low frequency signal to energize a RFID tag. The RFID tag responds with a high frequency signal. An antenna on the RFID tag functions as a resonant circuit upon receiving the low frequency signal to power up the RFID tag. In one embodiment, the high frequency signal is a millimeter frequency signal.
