ABSTRACT:
A method for determining and enforcing rate constraints on process flows in a network, the method comprising receiving at least one process flow. A flow rate vulnerability (FRV) factor and a required bandwidth (RBW) parameter are determined for the at least one process flow. A rate constraint is calculated for the at least one process flow and the rate constraint is enforced on the at least one process flow.
