A hollow golf club head having a face portion for hitting a golf ball comprisesa main body made of at least one kind of metal material, said main body having the face portion and at least two openings, andcover members attached to said main body so as to cover said openings, said cover members comprisingat least one resin cover member made of a fiber reinforced resin andat least one metal cover member made of a metal material, andsaid resin cover member and said metal cover member each having specific gravity less than said main body.
