An electrical outlet device comprising a mounting plate and an electrical outlet assembly containing electrical components and a hinge assembly coupled to the electrical outlet assembly and the mounting plate and adapted to enable the electrical outlet assembly to pivot with respect to the mounting plate between a raised horizontal orientation and a lowered operative orientation.
