ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a scroll type fluid machine which enables both of a fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll to be cooled by means of a cooling fan, and which enables an overall size of the machine to be compact. Cooling fans38A and38B are connected to a rotary shaft18between an electric motor15and orbiting scrolls26A and26B. Outer cases3A and3B are provided with flow inlet openings42A and42B, flow outlet openings43A and43B, scroll ducts44A and44B and cooling device ducts46A and46B. Compression portions6A and6B are operated by rotatably driving the rotary shaft18using the electric motor15. In this instance, the cooling fans38A and38B are rotated with the rotary shaft. Therefore, with a simple structure having no electric fans, the fixed scrolls7A and7B, the orbiting scrolls26A and26B and the cooling device47can be efficiently cooled, and a compressor having a compact size and a high cooling performance can be formed.
