ABSTRACT:
A silver halide photographic emulsion comprising silver halide grains which are prepared by a process comprising forming the silver halide grains in the presence of a dispersing medium and chemically sensitizing the silver halide grains formed, wherein, in the step of forming the silver halide grains, at least a part of the dispersing medium is a gelatin having an adenine content of 0.2 .mu.g or less per g of gelatin and the silver halide grains are chemically sensitized in the presence of a compound represented by the following formula. ##STR1##
