ABSTRACT:
A engine control device for a construction machine of the present invention is configured so that the engine control device comprises a first switch for selecting effectiveness/ineffectiveness of an automatic deceleration control by a controller and a second switch for selecting effectiveness/ineffectiveness of an automatic stop control, and that when a predetermined automatic stop condition is met even if the ineffectiveness of the automatic deceleration control is selected by the controller, the automatic deceleration control which reduces an engine speed is caused to be operated for a fixed period prior to the automatic stop control.
