ABSTRACT:
According to one embodiment, a passive infrared sensor1includes an infrared sensing element4,a pair of lenses5R and5L, and main mirrors22R and22L. A submirror24R is disposed on the main mirror22R. The submirror24R is configured so that, with respect to the main mirror22R, the orientation of the submirror24R is changed by a first predetermined angle in regard to the horizontal direction in a direction away from an attachment surface30at the installation time, and the orientation of the submirror24R is changed by a second predetermined angle in regard to the vertical direction in a direction downward at the installation time. A submirror23L is disposed on the main mirror22L. The submirror23L is configured so that, with respect to the main mirror22L, the orientation of the submirror23L is changed by a first predetermined angle in regard to the horizontal direction in a direction away from the attachment surface30at the installation time, and the orientation of the submirror23L is changed by a second predetermined angle in regard to the vertical direction in a direction downward at the installation time.
