A vehicle drive device20is composed of an electric motor20a, a differential gear20dfor distributing and transmitting the drive power from the electric motor20ato right and left drive wheels, and a clutch20cfor making intermittent the coupling capable of transmitting the drive power between the differential gear20dside and the electric motor20aside.
