A composition for printing recording materials comprising a) at least one temporarily water-soluble dye with one SO2CH2COOM group being present in the molecule; b) water or a medium including a mixture of water and an organic solvent, an anhydrous organic solvent or a solid having a low melting point, and c) optionally further additives.
