A home delivery contractor10enters into an affiliation contract with a credit card company12and also enters into a merchandise price collection consignment contract with a merchandise seller14. If a consumer16orders merchandise18with the merchandise seller14on the Internet, then the merchandise seller14makes a request to the home delivery contractor10for home delivery. Upon receipt of the delivered merchandise18, the consumer16passes to the home delivery contractor10a credit card20of the credit card company12who has entered into the affiliation contract with the home delivery contractor10, whereby the home delivery contractor10settles the price for the merchandise18with a portable card reader device22.
