ABSTRACT:
The compound having formula (I) ##STR1## is obtained by reacting 1,2-diphenyl-4-[2-phenylsulfinyl)-ethyl]-4-hydroxymethyl-pyrazolidine-3,5- dione (hydroxymethylsulfinpyrazone) with nicotinic acid, in the presence of activating agents such as DCCD.
(I) is endowed with marked vasodilating, antiaggregating and hypocholesterolemic properties.
