ABSTRACT:
A novel process for producing 2,4,6-tris(hydroxyphenyl amino)-1,3,5-triazine is disclosed. The process comprises reacting a compound represented by a formula (I) and a compound represented by a formula (II) in the presence of a base in a mixed solvent of at least one organic solvent and water, to produce a compound represented by a formula (III):where Y represents a substituent, R1represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, m is an integer from 1 to 5, n is an integer from 0 to 4, and when n is 2 or larger, plural Y are same or different each other or plural Y may bond to each other.
