ABSTRACT:
A vehicular alternator1is disclosed as having a stator2on which an armature winding21is wound, a rotor3rotatably disposed in the stator, cooling fans32, 33for creating cooling winds during rotation of the rotor, a front housing41and a rear housing45with which the stator and the rotor are supported and having side areas formed with cooling wind discharge windows42, 46,and a waterproof cover8located over an outer peripheral sides of the housings41, 45. The waterproof cover8has a plurality of ventilation apertures81formed at an inclined angle different from an inclined angle at which the cooling wind discharge windows are formed.
