ABSTRACT:
A line light source system includes a line light source formed by a number of linearly arranged light emitting elements. A pair of cylindrical lenses converges the light bundles emitted from the respective light emitting elements in a direction perpendicular to the direction in which the light emitting elements are arranged, and a pinhole array limits the angle of divergence of the light bundles emitted from the respective light emitting elements with respect to the optical axis of the cylindrical lenses in a direction parallel to the direction in which the light emitting elements are arranged.
