ABSTRACT:
The valve train V of an internal combustion engine E includes; a rocker arm50, 60for opening and closing the suction valve13; a holding body70for holding the spring77to generate the bias force F3for biasing the rocker arm50to the suction cam21; and a drive shaft81for moving the supporting shaft32, 33of the rocker arm50, 60via the holder30. The rocker arm50includes: an acting section54on which the bias force F3of the spring77directly acts; a cam contact section52coming into contact with the suction cam21. The holding body70provided integrally with the holder30moves following a position of the supporting shaft32which moves together with the holder30. The spring77is arranged between the holding body70and the acting section54, which are opposed to each other in the direction of the line of action of the bias force F3and along the plane perpendicular to the rotary centerline L2of the cam shaft20.
