ABSTRACT:
A projection screen for use in a projection system is described. In an embodiment of the present invention, a projection screen includes a substrate having one or more fluorescent materials. The one or more fluorescent materials emit visible light with the incidence of one or more ranges of wavelengths of light. The one or more fluorescent materials absorb visible light in at least one other range of wavelengths that is not included in the one or more ranges. The visible light emitted by the one or more fluorescent materials provides an image with the incidence of an output from a projector. The output of the projector has wavelengths of light in the one or more ranges.
