ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a labeled deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) molecule. In one aspect, the labeled DNA molecule is produced by contacting a cell or subject with a detectable amount of a stable isotope label which is incorporated into DNA via the de novo nucleotide synthesis pathway to produce the labeled DNA molecule.
