ABSTRACT:
Print data in the form of continuous tone CMYK data and bi-level black layer data requires conversion to a format suitable for processing by an ink droplet printhead. A half toner and compositor circuit is provided that includes a multi-threshold dither circuit to convert the continuous tone CMYK data to bi-level data. A compositor module processes output from the multi-threshold dither circuit and overlays it with the bi-level black layer data.
